It was a special morning in school today as we welcomed parents and families into the building to share our love of reading. Across the school, children and adults shared stories and had the chance to find out more about our approach to reading, and how we can work together to support the children in their reading journey. 

Early Years had the chance to explore their new reading sacks, packed with great stories, puppets, challenges and games, whilst KS1 found out about phonics and the next steps in reading. In KS2 classes, attention turned to Reading Rails and our fantastic Learning Journals, as well as finding time to share some books and take part in a reading quiz. 

Hopefully our guests left with as much enthusiasm for reading and the power of a good book as our fantastic children have!
